Full size 4/4 electric violin for small printer
Description
Separated the original model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767536 into smaller pieces in order to fit 150*150*180mm 3D printer. 3 M4*100mm screw is used. 2 screws are joining part 1, 2 and 3. Another is cut to 90mm for joining part 6. However using the screw is not a must. The screw nut hole is not big enough. So finally I use heat set insert to replace the nut. Due to the screw hole size, some of the M4 nuts are replaced by M3 heat set insert. And I don't use carbon fibre rod. Instead I use a stainless steel rod from a broken Ikea LÄMPLIG and cut it into a suitable length. The weight of the violin is around 600g with shoulder rest, with print parameter 5 and infill 10%. (my printer has serious z wobble. So I print 5 parameters for sanding. Fire lighter is needed to heat the 2 M4 100mm screws in order to insert them to part 1. I forgotten to leave an angle for the screws at my design. A short copper wire (around 1mm) is used to clean up the wire holes in part 4. Can use anything that is flexible but hard enough to clean up the holes. May not needed if you have good 3d printer. I use resin to glue every parts with M3/M4 screws. No support except for the chinrest. The bridge is from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2576368
