Bambu Scope - Magnifier
Description
The PS1 is a great printer but we all know that the camera is not the best and because its enclosed it can be hard to keep a close eye on the quality of a print as it prints. This model, called the Bambu Scope, is a magnifier that rests on top of the P1S top glass cover and gives you a great view of the top of the print as it’s being printed. It’s very easy to print – it can use PLA and only has 3 printable parts. Also needed is a magnifying lens. This is inexpensive and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CFP5CVK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title (Craftsman CMMT14118) To assemble the Bambu Scope remove the lens from the Craftsman Magnifying Glass by unscrewing the chrome ring. Now insert the lens into the printed base (the tilted part). Next put the printed insert into the base (it rests on the lens). Now screw the locking ring onto the base and hand tighten it. The lens should now be secured (doesn’t rattle). That’s it. Now place the assembled Bambu Scope on the top glass and view a model printing. You’ll be able to see the model magnified at 3x with no focusing needed, giving a good view of how the layers look. I do not have access to a X1C but I believe this will work just as well on that and the X1E. Leave a comment if you try it on one of those models . Note: if you have installed a riser for the upper glass, the focus may not be perfect. Again, give it a try leave a comment for the rest of us.
