Hollow ball screw tool for SFU1605
Description
This is my first upload to Thingiverse :) I have remixed Nikodem's ball screw tool. This one is hollow so it will fit over the end of a SFU1605 ball screw. When reversing the nut, I placed the tool over the non threaded end of the shaft. I previously tried using the tool at the threaded end but I ended up losing balls and I had to replace the ball screw. Take extreme care!! Hold the tool firmly against the shaft and don't let the nut slide off. If you lose the balls, you'll probably have to replace the nut or the entire ball screw (whichever is better value to replace). Please do your own due diligence and confirm measurements with a vernier/digital caliper before attempting. There could be variations in ball screws or the print, just take care! It worked for me but if you're not careful or if the diameter isn't right for you, it'll be super frustrating for you. It's my understanding that the outer diameter of the tool should match the diameter of the shaft (if you ignore the threads) so the balls don't fall out. I personally didn't check this, I read it in a forum somewhere, sounds like good advice. I hope this helps someone. I printed the tool standing up vertically. Printed with PLA+ (PLA, PETG would probably be fine)
