Reverb Micro Arm Bumpers

Reverb Micro Arm Bumpers

Description

I drew up these lightweight (0.3gm each) arm bumpers for my Reverb Micro quad. They are designed to be secured with just 2 diagonal motor bolts. They are meant for motors with a 9mm diagonal pattern. If you need files for 12mm motors please make a request in the comments. The STL files include 2a, 2b, 3a, and 3b. A and B are are just mirrors of each other. The versions 2 files have a cylinder that goes through the arms to make it stronger, but makes post processing a bit harder (read about this below). Version 3 is much easier to post process, but is not as robust as 2. You can print a pair of each a and b files to have a symmetrical look on your Reverb, but it doesn't matter. They will work even if you print 4x of the same file. No rotation is required for any of the files. Supports are necessary. I printed in TPU with 0.25mm layers, using typical settings for TPU. If you go with version 2, be careful while post processing not to mangle the "cylinder" inside each bumper. The cylinder is meant to be cut in half after printing, and acts like a locking tabs that pass through the hole near the tip of the arm. Cut this cylinder in half using flush cutters or a knife, but leave the halves in there to act like pegs. The cut will allow you to spread the cylinder apart for installation. I found it easier to remove all the supports after cutting the cylinder. If anyone has too many issues removing all the supports behind the cylinder, use version 3 instead.
