[Remix] Notched DualSense Controller Faceplate
Description
This remix was posted with authorization from the creator of the original scan, Xile6. If you would like a much higher-quality scan of the DualSense faceplate (this mod uses 5% of the original's polygons) that doesn't use any notches, visit Xile6's Cults3D page: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/dual-sense-face-plate-ps5 Also, check out Xile6's models on Printables: https://www.printables.com/@Xile6 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The purpose of this remix is to provide a more GameCube-like feel to the PS5 controller. Similar to my Xbox One controller faceplate mod, the 8 notches add an extra layer of certainty to moving around the cardinal directions and diagonals. I personally find this layout more comfortable for playing platform fighters like Smash Bros or Rivals of Aether. Since the DualSense is now my go-to controller (and the Xbox One version I edited is slightly misaligned), I really wanted to apply the concept to the controller I use the most. This model is very thin and needs all the strength it can get. • Use 100% infill. • Use a low-layer height and slow printing speed. • You can print the model upside down (shown in the original) or right-side-up (how I printed the remix), just be very careful while removing all the supports. I imagine SLA printing would be perfect for something this delicate.
