Top rail light bar for Ender 3, others
Description
This is the promised adaptation of the gantry mounted bed light (see the remix source). The same LED mounting strip is used, but with mounting arms that are now straight and longer. The length was chosen to put the light source a bit forward of the print head so the full forward bed is illuminated. I put it only on the front, as the rear is well lit by the gantry mounted light bar, but it can easily be mounted on the back too. You can run a separate power wire pair to the power supply terminals, but I used a couple of wire taps and hooked into the existing wires for the gantry light. Wiring and installation is similar to the gantry mount light rail, but a bit simpler since the wire doesn't have to move. The arm brackets were mounted using M4 screws. Mine were 10mm long, and required a washer under the screw head to keep the screw from bottoming out in the slot rail. The LED strips are available from many sources.
