Spacer ring for ZWO ASI178mc camera and tripod collar mount ring
Description
Spacer ring allows use of a tripod collar ring designed for use with telephoto lenses to be used to support ZWO ASI178mc and similar cameras. In this case, I am connecting my camera to a Nikon lens. I use an M42 to c adapter and a c mount to Nikon adapter for this. The ring is designed to slide over the 2 inch diameter nose piece of the camera. This is to prevent covering the cable connections and camera ventilation. The tripod collar ring I use with this has an inside diameter of 65mm. The opening of the 3d printed ring is 51mm in diameter and the outer diameter is 65mm. I used a small piece of velcro as a shim to make it fit tighter in the collar ring. It was created in OpenSCAD. I have included the file if you want to alter it for your use.
