Ventilation Valve

Ventilation Valve

Description

# Ventilation Valve This valve is designed to distribute ventilation within the ventilation gap behind the sheathing (paneling). 100mm diameter pipes provide air access from outside the room. The valve regulates airflow, splitting it into two parts and directing it to hard-to-ventilate corners of the room. Inside the room, air travels through 40mm diameter drainage pipes (which fit perfectly into the 50mm gap). If necessary, the valve can be closed from inside the room by turning the handle 90 degrees. The handle can be made from a regular 3mm diameter nail. On the room side, I bent the handle and put a wooden block on it for aesthetics. A sign indicating the valve positions: "open" and "closed" would also be helpful. The valve can be printed as a single model. After removing the supports, it only requires a small amount of force to rotate it (pay attention to the direction and don't break it!). Afterwards, add some silicone grease or WD-40 to the gaps to ensure smooth switching. Secure the nail with an M3 screw and nut in the rotating part of the valve. Then the valve can be mounted on the inlet pipe, connect the D40 pipes to it, and cover it with sheathing, leaving the nail for the handle outside. To print the sign, you need to use filament change print pausing.
