AnyGlass Condensation Channel

AnyGlass Condensation Channel

Description

I have created this condensation channel that can be attached to any piece of glass to create the top of a solar still. The parts can be coupled together with 0.5 inch pvc and are meant to be customizable to the solar still you are using: 100mm (4 inch-1.6mm=3.937 inches) and 200mm (8 inch-3.2mm=7.874 inches) pieces are included, shorter pieces can be cut if needed. The keys should allow this to secure to any glass up to 6mm in thickness. I set a stepped footing for glass in 1mm increments from 1mm-6mm, the flat side of the key should go on top of the glass with the device mostly under the glass. If used beyond temporary use, silicone should be used seal the edge of the glass into the device and prevent exterior water from running in at the top of the device. Where coupled together with pvc this will probably need pipe glue or silicone sealant Beyond that, any box that you can fit glass over should work as a solar still with this. I suggest cutting through the container and using a piece of 0.5 inch pvc to reach the outside for collection or to chain them together in array. Due to heat and UV exposure, I suggest this being printed in at least ABS, if not ASA-CF or a nice TPU. Still very much a work in progress, AND it's untested at that! Fit tests went well on 2 pieces of glass, production test imminent. Any Al manufacturers that may see this, the annotated drawing has highlighted: a small error - in red, and the noncritical/changeable parts in yellow
