Qidi Plus 4 Ejecta Chute and Catch Bucket
Description
Ejecta Duct and Bucket for Qidi Plus 4 ============================== An eject duct and catch bucket for the Qidi Plus 4 3D Printer. Features ----------- - The chute bolts securely onto the printer via a small mounting plate, onto which the chute itself is then attached. - Easy to print - Orientation of parts can be mirrored to suit both left and right side ejecting paths. - No supports or rafts are needed - This model has an easily removable lid for easy cleaning. - The catch bucket fits into the lip of the chute to provide added support, as well as to prevent it from vibrating out of place. Filament Considerations ------------------------------- - Due to the heated chamber of the Plus 4, it is best to use ABS/ASA or other higher temperature tolerant filament. - Avoid PLA. - PETG can be used, but its softening temperature can be a little close to the maximum chamber temperature of the Plus 4, so my advise to at least print the small mounting bracket out of ASA/ABS at least since that is in direct contact with the printer, and then use PETG for the rest of the chute/bucket. - Ideally best to use CF infused filaments for better dimensional accuracy. Additional Parts -------------------- Needs the following parts: - 2 of M3x20mm BHCS bolts to attach the mounting bracket to the printer - 3 of M4x10mm heat-set inserts - 3 of M4x12mm BHCS bolts to attach the main chute to the mounting bracket - 3 x M4 washers Assembly ------------ Print the 4 parts. Insert the 3 M4x10mm heat-set inserts into the small mounting bracket. Now use the M3x20mm bolts to attach the mounting bracket to the printer by replacing the 2 bolts already present on the printer. This part of the procedure is a little fiddly as the inner ejecta duct on the printer can move around and it's easy to miss the screw holes with the M3 bolts. You'll know when you have gotten the bolts in properly as they will tighten firmly and hold the bracket very securely to the printer. Now attach the main chute to the mounting bracket using the M4 bolts and washers, and secure them into the heat-set inserts on the mounting bracket. Now slide the lid into place. Place the capture bucket under the end of the chute as pictured. Enjoy!
