Kobra 2 max PCB and MOSFET box
Description
So this is a box for the Kobra 2 max to put the PCB, MOSFET and touchscreen outside an enclosure if you're enclosing the kobra 2 max. It's purpose is to keep the sensitive parts of the kobra 2 max out of the intense heat of a heated enclosure. since the photos were taken I've since edited the file to line up all the wrong screw holes better and added a hole in the back for wires since I forgot that before printing my own. Basically mine is the rough draft and you get the cleaner more refined version! :D the wifi hole is D shaped too so with a littleworking if it warped, you can get the wifi antenna cable/connector in there and it doesn't rotate so you don't need to hold it while you tighten the wifi antenna or the lock nut for the cable. the K2MAX is obviously the exhaust vent INSTRUCTIONS TO PRINT *this is to be printed with PETG or PLA, I used PETG and love the flexibility and duribility. PLA tends to snap out screw stand offs if you're not careful. *this needs supports for all parts except the lid, you can just print the lid face down if you dont mind the texture of your print bed in the lid face. I wanted a finished face. normal supports with 4mm spacing and an interface layer with 75% density works just fine though. *box 2 might be really snug on box 1 and the lid might be super snug on box 2 if it warps. so take care for warping and if its a problem or something you don't want to have to worry about, I printed box 2 at 100.25% and the lid at 100.75% for a good fit but this might interfere with screw holes. no matter what the interior edge of the mating edges are going to have to be cleaned up post print. *the fan was originally intended to go inside but the PCB and fan are just too close together so outside it goes. *the screw holes for the touchscreen are sized for an M5 heat insert so you can use the original mounting hardware to the touchscreen! :D *to mount the box simply put a hole somewhere of your choosing in your enclosure, run the (most likely EXTENDED) wires of your printer through the hole, mount the box over the hole with the hole in the back of the box lining up with the wire hole and connect the wires as normal. once finished, go ahead and get some heat resistant tape and something to stuff the hole with to keep your enclosure isolated from the K2MAX box. there is also a mount for the powersupply in my things and if its not there when you go there it will be shortly (hours not days). Please if you feel so inclined and like this item, there is a donation link in my profile for paypal that supports a huge prototyping project I'm working on. There is also soon to come a similar box for the Kobra 2 NEO. All my works on thingiverse will be Public domain dedications. have fun everyone!
