Playing Cards Display

Playing Cards Display

Description

A simple frame and mount kit for displaying your standard sized playing cards. Many of us have collected decks over the years and well, there they sit in some drawer or box somewhere. Why not display them on the wall, your fridge or anywhere really to better enjoy them. This kit is designed so that the cards can easily be removed from the mount, the back of the frame slides right off and the cards can be removed from the frame for viewing or playing! The kit includes a splined mount that is secured with three screws for mounting to walls, etc. if desired or to a metal surface by adhering an 18mm x 3mm magnet in the back recess of the mount. The top side of the mount also has a small recess for adhering the same size magnet, this magnet is necessary where the back one is not unless attaching to a metal surface. The frame is designed to hold a standard sized deck of cards (with very slight tolerances) and has a lip to hold in a single piece of 1/8" (3.125mm) glass measuring 2 5/8" x 3 5/8" (66.675mm x 92.25mm). Your local glass shop will be able to cut these small panes of glass for you very inexpensively. The back plate slides onto the frame and holds the cards and glass in place. This back plate also has a female spline with a recess for an additional 18mm x 3mm magnet. When the frame, cards, glass and back plate are assembled the whole thing magnetically attaches to the mount. See photos of more clarification, it's easier to assemble than to describe :) Additionally, a small jig is provided for spacing the mounts but is not necessary. This jig, when used between mounts, as you affix them to your surface, will keep a regular spacing between the mounts so that the frames will be uniformly spaced. The spline configuration allows for rotating the frames in ten-degree increments. This allows for many configuration so that you can customize the look of your card sets. Great for your game-room, man-cave, etc. All parts are oriented in correct printing configuration. Additionally, I have printed all three parts at once (on a large scale printer) with no problems and very little post-processing. No supports, no rafts, etc. Just print with regular settings you like for good prats. I do print at a "fine" resolution for better spline alignment but have printed a set at medium resolution with no problems. I hope you will all have lots of fun with this little setup! Enjoy, I do.
