Jugger pool noodle core remover / hole puncher

Description

As pool noodles with appropriately sized holes are increasingly difficult to source, I set out to build something to help make due with noodles without a hole. The 3 3D printable parts to this contraption are to be combined with - [Ikea courtain rods (120-210cm 19cm Ø)](https://www.ikea.com/de/de/p/bekraefta-gardinenstangen-set-schwarz-10489537/) - A 2 meter long 1cm diameter hollow aluminum pipe (the punching pipe) - A 2 meter long non hollow metal rod with a diameter small enough to fit through the former pipe (used to clean the former) - 6 screws that fit into the curtain rod ends - A heat source used to heat up the metal pipe The holes punched into the poolnoodles this way will be approx. 10-12mm in diameter, depending on the heat of the pipe by the time it gets there. How to punch the holes: 1. Pre-cut the noodles. The longer the noodle that needs to be punched, the bigger the chance that the pipe will deviate off the center. (*) 2. Squeeze the noodle into place in-between the curtain rods. 3. Adjust the extension of the curtain rods, find the right balance between max distance between central and operational end triangle on the one hand, and rigidity of the curtain rods around the noodle on the other. 4. Fix the extension of the curtain rods and the central triangle in place with tape. 5. Get the punching pipe into position stuck through the 2 triangles, hovering above the noodle. 6. Heat up the pipe. Watch out for heating up the curtain rods, if they get heated up too close to the pool noodle, the noodle might get a melting dent from the curtain rod. Thankfully they disperse heat pretty quickly 7. Get the whole contraption upright to reduce the influence of gravity adding to the deviation of the punching pipe 8. Push the punching pipe down until the going gets tough. 9. Pull the pipe out, clean it out with the other metal rod and return to point 5 until you punch all the way through. 10. ... 11. Profit! (* In the attached image, the yellow noodles on the ride side was punched at its full 145cm length first with the pipe escaping roughly half way through. I managed to mostly salvage it by cutting out the worst parts and punching the last half separately again. The red noodle was punched pre-cut, which allows the curtain rods to not be extended fully, which stabilizes the punching pipe. The center and open ended triangle could also be further apart, improving the stabilizing function of the central triangle. Further, I added textile tape strips to the central holes in the triangles (where the punching pipe traverses through) making them slightly tighter, thus reducing the pipe's wiggle-room. The ends shown are the ends furthest from the center piece, i.e. the deviation shown is what you'd get at worst for long or staff noodles.)
