PC Fan mounting plates for homemade air filter

PC Fan mounting plates for homemade air filter

Description

These parts are for a homemade Corsi-Rosenthal box (air filter). It's intended for a build with two 16x25x1 filters and four 140mm PC fans, but you could adapt it for other builds. There's a link at the end to some build examples if you're not familiar. For four fans mounted on the 25" long filter side, you'll need: - 2 end plates - 2 middle plates - 4 fan grills 1) Use the screws that came with the fan to attach the fan, grill, and plate together. In the photos above, the grill is between the fan and the plate. 2) Tape around the edges of the fan and plate for better air sealing. 3) Hot glue or tape the plates together and tape them to the filter and sides. The end plates are not as wide as the middle plates and have a flat edge and an edge with a notch. When the notch is lined up with the middle plate, it forms a channel for hot glue. A template is included if you want to make your own grill pattern. The one with spiral arms is shown in the photo. You can also place this filter on the edge so that it's tall and narrow, blowing to the side. Or you could use these plates on two sides and add more fans. Enjoy your cleaner air! These help filter particulates out of the air like viruses, smoke, dust, and pollen.
