Inside Spool Silica Gel Container (modified lid and underside pattern)
Description
Remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3222374 by Tenshe These are personal modifications I decided to post incase anyone else could make use of it -I don't have a hydrometer so I wanted to maximize the amount of beads I could put in the container by extending the inside floor all the way to reach the bottom of the container. (The original maker of this container also uploaded a version with this change, but I didn't see that 'till I was in the process of uploading this) -I kept the threads and most of the Lid as is but I swapped out the square holes on the lid and bottom of the container for a pattern that matches the one that wraps around the outside. -I remade the container itself with a higher poly count cylinder to make it smoother but the dimensions are the same -I use silica gel beads that are 3-5mm. The gaps in the outer pattern are just small enough to prevent any beads of that size from falling out. I haven't tested beads smaller than that but I'd imagine anything smaller than 2mm would fall through. The container fits nicely in all the spools I own of various brands but some are more snug than others. But I'm just slapping my spools straight into a dry box so the extra wiggle room isn't a problem for my use case. If you need a specific width to get a tighter fit for any specific spool hole diameter, I don't mind to make further modifications on demand and I'll just add them alongside the main container as I go. Prints fine without supports in about 3 hours if you're printing both lid and container. Could probably get faster times, I just didn't bother fiddling with my settings much. Printed in PLA Personal settings were: -215-220c nozzle temp -55-60c textured bed temp -0.2 layer height -2 walls -10-15% infill -I printed with a 4mm outer brim around both lid and container but its not required
