Honeycomb Spacer for Laser Engraver

Honeycomb Spacer for Laser Engraver

Description

This spacer was created to lift wood material off of the honeycomb grid by 4mm for cutting with a laser. This spacer will hold the material and also give space for the laser-cut material to fall through and land on the honeycomb grid. There are two models available, the first is 15mm in width and the second is 12mm in width. I designed two different sizes so that I could have more or less overlap of the material with the spacer. The top portion is 3mm thick and the bottom portion is 4mm thick, with a 3.75mm distance between the two layers. The pin portion of the design is 7mm wide and 15mm long for placing in the honeycomb. To print, place the model upside down and use supports between the top and bottom layers. Support settings will vary, however, I used 10% infill for the supports with 0.32mm spacing between the x, y, and z axis.
