5/8 Top Sash Guide Kinco + Face Guides

5/8 Top Sash Guide Kinco + Face Guides

Description

I've been purchasing replacement parts for my windows in my 2005 Florida home built by ICI homes from Swisco for many years. It isn't so much the expense but the hassle of having to wait on these tiny parts. I've found that the Kinco design is weak where the sash guide "hooks" into the window balance. I've had the sash guide plastic shear off, sending the balance shooting upward. I've remixed HaiMeister's design to fit my home's windows perfectly. The screw holes line up perfectly and the Swisco balances work perfectly with these sash guides. The face guides that cost $0.97 each online are quick to print and nearly free. They are a remix of the Lawson Face Guides that AlwaysTinkering posted on Printables by Josef Prusa. AT's file was for a slightly wider face guide that slightly hung off the edges of my windows. They worked, but I had to "jam" the window in because of the additional overhang. My remix mimics the dimensions of the original face guides that came with my windows perfectly and they snap into place solidly. This file includes two top sash guides and 4 face guides -- the set required to refurbish an entire window. Prusaslicer estimates this 6 pc set costs $0.25 in filament to print. No supports, PETG. Thank you to HaiMeister for laying the groundwork for me to get what I needed!
