ARII 1/32 Honda S600 model to slot car conversion chassis v2.3
Description
So I am a slot car enthusiast and wanted fo turn this model into a functioning slot car. Unfortunately the commercially available chassis kits wheelbase was too long. This kit allows you to convert the model into a slot car with your choice of motor, gears and guide. The tab glues to the underside of the hood to make a level area to glue a magnet to. The front of the chassis has a cross member you glue another magnet to. I used 5x8mm magnets. Just be sure to orient them properly. The rear of the chassis accepts common brass or nylon bushing that you glue in place. The cut out for the gear allows tuning of alignment. The underside of the chassis is recessed so you can glue magnets in if desired. Again I used the same 5x8mm magnets and by placing them at the edges of the recessed area, they were directly over the rails of my Carrera Digital 132 track. This is designed with 15% infill to be as light as possible. Chassis and tab weight 0.2 ounces when printed in PLA+. You can do 100% infill but it won't make much difference. The chassis has a mild amount of flex to it. Support on build plate only for rear screw tab and front cross tab. Feel free to mod as desired! This object was made in Tinkercad.
