Parametric Double wall trick Vase mode Circular object glass container holder bracelet etc
Description
Exploring more on vase mode seems double wall trick already quite long exist but not many implementation. While trying to make it need special caution and trial error and tedious. But achieve it can give some cheaper and faster to print model yet still strong result. Just learning OpenSCAD I can see a way to program it and parametric it with still some restriction but already satisfied. Maybe enhancing it later. Feature: - can make many basic shape from 3 (triangle) to circle, extrude it to parametric height and can add base or without so can make bracelet (not springy tough)/ - can use regular nozzle (0.4mm) size or bigger - can use wall thickness more than double nozzle size (actually it is a must or it will produce nothing), will create rib to strengthen it - can set how many rib to make on each side, max rib calculated also. So you can experiment how much is strong enough. Even with max rib it still faster print than regularly same wall thickness, you can try :) - can rotate (need for rectangular) and resize on X,Y scale so can make any size rectangle for container tough each side still using same rib count Tested to slice with Orca slicer its quite good result (see photo) Note: If you use base, dont forget to set bottom layer (multiplied by layer height) near base thickness or else it will print empty 1wall layer before double wall begin I already try to extrude scale and spin (OpenSCAD feature) but still not get best result ,rib sometimes gone or too far away with wall, so cant make for regular vase but maybe later :P Enjoy!
