Herman Miller Aeron (2015) Armrest Articulating Arm Mount
Description
Made this to mount my Svalboard to my Aeron. Requires minor mod to the armrest but is backwards compatible with different screws. BOM: 2x M6 Threaded Inserts 1x 1/4" Threaded Inserts (Model supports up to 5 positions) 2x M6x30 BHCS 2x M6 Washer Instructions - Remove armrest pads - Drill out both threads in the armrest pad with a 5/16" bit. No need to go beyond the original depth. - Insert M6 threaded inserts into the holes drilled out in the step above. - Insert 1/4" threaded insert into desired position in the printed part. You can install all 5 if desired. - Place both M6 screws into printed part and hold against armrest bracket. - Add in the M6 washers on the top side of the bracket. These will ensure weight is placed onto the M6 threaded insert and not the armrest pad itself. - Put armrest pad in place and thread in both M6 screws loosely before tightening. - Use your 1/4" articulating arm of choice!
