Swiffer Duster Pole Handle Extension Adapter
Description
My wife wanted me to make a handle extension for her Swiffer Duster - something that would let her reach some windows in our stairway. I thought the easiest way to do this would be to just make an adapter between a standard broom handle or paint roller extension pole, and the duster head - that way, the length of pole can be whatever pole you already have around your house - in my case, I used a broom handle. I found someone had already made the female part (screw threads) for an extension handle, so I remixed that and added the Swiffer part in TinkerCad. I put it all together in such a way that it can be printed vertically with no supports. To make it more stable when printing, I put some small tabs on the bottom that simply need to be snipped off when the print is done. Problem solved. The version shown in the photo isn't the final design - I made a few minor improvements to the STL file before publishing it here - but what I printed is good enough for the intended use.
