HICTOP Prusa i3 Y-axis Belt Holder (rework)

HICTOP Prusa i3 Y-axis Belt Holder (rework)

Description

Modified The Hictop Prusa I3 Y-Axis Belt Holder To Improve The Following Characteristics: 1. Thicker Jaws For Holding Belt, Reducing The Chance Of Belt Becoming Lose When Printing For Extended Period Of Time And High Temperature Bed Settings By Increasing Thickness (Increasing Tolerance) 2. Increased The Distance Between The Two Jaws So Belt From Each Side Could Be Folded And Be Placed Side By Side Inside The Grove More Easily So The Belt Lines Up Properly (The Original Design Is Too Tight, And The Second Belt Would Not Fit, Therefore Causing The Belt To Have Offset From Each Side And Will Not Be Straight) 3. In Case Of The Hictop Prusa I3, It Seems It Can Handle Curved Sides Easier For Fast Printing When Printing In Abs. The Model May Suffer From Curling, Or The Y-Axis Skips Tooth If There Are Sharp Edges And The Belt Holder Is Worn Out. Curved Corners Reduces The Chance Of Y-Axis Skipping Gear Dues To Sudden Acceleration. Makes It Easier To Print Using The Retiring Y-Axis Belt-Holder!) Everything, Including The Y-Axis End-Stop Fits Just Fine. I Have Printed Using Abs At Both 0.1 And 0.2Mm Resolutions, At 60% Fill Using Abs. Version 2: - Modified The Belt Slot For Better Fit And Increased Tolerance (Hopefully There Is Less Need For Sanding Down The Tooth To Make The Belt Fit). - Added Place Holder For The Nuts. You Can Use Pliers To Fit The Nuts In The Holes Before Installing The Part So Hopefully Makes Installation Of The Part Easier.
