Stream Deck + 8020 Aluminum Profile Mount For Sim Racing

Stream Deck + 8020 Aluminum Profile Mount For Sim Racing

Description

When I upgraded my wheelbase on my sim racing rig, I lost the aluminum profile "shelf" that held the wheelbase in place, which was where I was previously placing my stream deck +. I also moved my monitors much closer so there really was no longer a good place to put it. I found the original STL <https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6597320> and I liked the bit that attached to the stream deck +, but it was tooled and sized for a GoPro mount. I found this insufficient because the leverage and weight of the stream deck + kept snapping 3D printed 8020 GoPro parts once I attached a long enough GoPro arm to it. So I instead decided to use an off-the-shelf, articulating wall monitor mount (much sturdier) instead. Problem there is that VESA plates use a 100mm spacing for their mounting holes and the original STL comes with 36mm spaced holes and even if you moved those wholes, the VESA plate interferes with the USB cable connection on the Stream Deck +. So I added this adapter plate to attach to the Stream Deck + bracket on one end using M3 screws and a VESA plate on the other using M6 screws.
