Clip-On Adjustable Feet for 2040 or 4040

Clip-On Adjustable Feet for 2040 or 4040

Description

I looked around but most of the feet I found were slide-on or bolt-on or non-removable snap-on (because the snaps would break). I did not want to loose the stock rubber feet on my printer and once they are removed they never stick again. So I over engineered these. The clips snap into the leg and have enough movement to easier line up with the rail gaps. You can use the pins I have included or 4mm bolts to lock the clips in place. or both. One slide of the leg have a "dimple" area to make grabbing the pin heads easier. the opposite side had recesses for a 4mm head bolt head. I typically print the leg model upside down with no supports, the foot with supports in the bottom recess, the pin standing on its head, and the clip on the flat side. You will need 2 x clips and 2 x pins (if you use them) per foot. The recess in the foot bottom is 2mm deep and 38 mm wide (fits a 1.5 inch pad). I had a slight issue with it sliding on the rail but a small piece of electrical tape in the center fixed it, however, I did add a 4mm tension screw in the center if you would prefer. As always I have included the Fusion360 and Sketch-up files as well as the STL. If the clips wont open each side has a release hole, just press a 4mm bolt or one of the pins into each one.
