Quad-Link Rev. #2 (2025)
Description
Finally. After five years I am happy to share my new design of the Quad-Link with you. The specs have basically remained the same. Since the CAT sockets used in Rev.#1 are hardly available anymore, I have implemented the new ones here. - - - This is a tool with which you can use a Cat-cable as a four channel multicore for analog and digital audio signals. The device Channels four XLR connections through the Cat-cable's twisted pairs and shields. Functionality has been tested with 20 meters Cat5e. Microphone level signals work with and without phantom power. Line signals and digital AES/EBU signals work as well. - - - If you don't want to manufacture the PCBs yourself, you can buy them on my (German) website: https://h3cke.de/collections/elektronik - - - In this version, the footprints of the components have been updated and the traces have been routed differentially. The question of the exact component designation for the CAT socket was often asked. In the production files there is a BOM file in which this information was too difficult to find. So here again in plain text. The sockets used are called: Neutrik NC3 FAV Neutrik NC3 MAV Neutrik NE8 FAV-C5 - - - Visit my Instagram for more Pro-Audio projects: https://www.instagram.com/diy.audio.tools.international/
