Meshtastic Paracord Tree Node

Meshtastic Paracord Tree Node

Description

Here's the ABS rods: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BD7FM3VJ/ I used ABS because my research says it's pretty darn RF transparent. Here's a nice paracord of a color that blends into trees well. Any 550 should work though: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B9RGDPX1/ Meant for use with this antenna: https://store.rokland.com/products/alfa-aoa-915-5acm-5-dbi-omni-outdoor-915mhz-802-11ah-mini-antenna-for-lora-halow-application Using them with these guys although I don't think they're spectacular for long-term outdoor use. If you know of where to source something better, let me know https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C8M7W9XF?ie=UTF8&th=1 I would probably use PETG although I've found white PLA to be surprisingly UV resistant even over a period of several years. The idea I had was to run a wire out the center hole in the bottom, down to the ground to put a solar panel /battery on. The reason I do that instead of trying to build it all into the thing is the wire hanging down a long ways also helps to keep it oriented vertically in winds. I was going to just silicone the lid onto the bottom but I'm now considering making a twist-lock version.
