Ski Edge Grinder Dremel
Description
This tool is designed for easily sharpening ski edges with a Dremel, requiring minimal force. It screws onto the Dremel using an M19x2 thread. After 3D printing, two M6 threaded holes must be cut for smooth screw operation. You'll also need two M6x55mm hex screws, two springs to secure the screws, two 3D-printed knurled inserts for the screw heads, two 3D-printed M6 cap nuts, and a Dremel 8193 grinding stone with a 15.9mm diameter. The grinding stones must be regularly trued to remain flat. To use, insert the grinding stone as shown in the photo and adjust the screws so the Dremel is angled at 1-2° (as indicated in red) when running the yellow indicated direction of rotation. Move along the edge (green arrow) and set the Dremel to the highest speed. Sparks will fly upwards, and a minimal burr will form at the edge. Afterward, remove the burr on the flat side, leaving a perfectly sharp edge. The tool is available in 88° for all-round use and 86° for more aggressive riders (less durable edge).
