Small Part Tray with Cover, 36 Compartments
Description
This is a small part tray with a slide on cover I designed to hold small items. In my case, we have a nametag engraver machine with lots of little letter tiles. I needed a way to organize these alphabetically. There's two versions, one with letters and one without. The exterior cases loosely secure together so they don't slip and slide, you can print multiple of these and stack them. - 36 Partitions / Compartments - Each Compartment is 46 mm x 16 mm x 13 mm - Contoured top to allow air to displace when using drawer - Convenient cutout on top for easier pull out of drawer - Interlocking cover cases for stacking This required a LOT of iterations to get right, and I'm sure there's more work to be done to improve the design. If there's a modification you'd like to see, let me know and I'll upload changes and fixes. Changelog Tray Version 10 - Public release Refined sizes of tray for optimal friction retention. Added grooves on top of tray for air displacement when sliding in/out Cover Version 6 - Public release Adjusted sizes of interlocking grooves. They could use a little tighter tolerances in my opinion, shelved for a future update. Tray relies on friction and air resistance to keep closed, but a locking tab would be a nice addition for a future release.
