Knights URX4 m-lok rail for airsoft m4s 13 inch

Description

3d-printable copy of the Knights Armament URX4 M-lok rail for airsoft AEG's. Uses either 2.5mm or 3/32nd's steel rod to reinforce the print making it pretty strong. Especially if you print in an already durable filament like ABS. Because the rail is timed and the barrel nut is integrated directly into the handguard, and uses the mock gas tube to lock it into place, this rail will ONLY work if you have it pinned to the receiver. But the trade off of this design is; A.) It's more durable than conventional handguards with a separate barrel nut and rail assembly. (especially 3d printed ones!) B.) Requires a specific timing to get it lined up. You will probably need to print multiple shims to get it exactly where it needs to be, and because plastic deforms slightly, you'll have some wiggle room and may need an additional few degrees of torque to get it solid. When you get it timed and lined up, use either your gas tube, or an .180+/- .005 pin, about 2" long, to lock it into place. I'll post an updated installation and some more info when I get a standardized data set for timing. UPDATE 2/9/25 process for shimming. - by default the shim is .010" of an inch thick. - By disabling uniform scaling, and playing with the Y scale, you can make custom shim thicknesses. - You're more than likely going to need more than one. - Be careful not to overtorque, The steel rod helps prevent shearing along layer lines, but warping and fractures are still possible. - Print EVERYTHING at 100% infill.
