Handgun storage rack for pistols and revolvers
Description
The title says it all – it is a 3D-printed storage rack for handguns, to save space in the safe. The slots are designed with one support side higher than the other, which provides very flexible positioning options -- high to low, or low to high, handle down or handle up (cf. photos). There are 2 versions : 1. “L”, slot width 46 mm, 4 slots per section, designed for revolvers. Accommodates anything up to 8” barrel .44 Mag 2. “S”, slot width 32 mm, 6 slots per section, designed for regular pistols (compact and full size). Bottom drawers may be additionally printed to elevate the platform, and provide some storage space (e.g. spare mags, extra cylinders, speed loaders, pistol-specific tools, etc.). “S” and “L” versions of the drawers have compartments matching the corresponding rack slots. The “flat” version has no compartments and fits any rack. The parts can be printed on a 220x220 table (set the table size in printer definitions to something like 230x230, and play with part positioning as close to the origin as possible). Note: supports are required to print the rack parts, and Prusa slicer tends to generate them outside of the printable area (long-standing known bug). For that, Cura is more intelligent. Use tree supports for rack parts.
