Igaro C1 Rear Cover
Description
The rear cover protects the ports from the weather and lets light through to the sensor. The printed material makes a huge difference to the wavelengths and amplitude of light that falls on the sensor. Initially we 3d printed these using transparent PLA however transparent PET-G is better for countering UV degradation. Sunlight has a full wavelength spectrum while efficient artificial light (especially LED's) is usually weak in the red/orange/yellow department. This means sunlight tends to create a higher read on the Igaro C1's sensor whereas ideally we want to normalize the sensing. Testing carried out later on found a blue filter created more ideal behavior and thus we recommend printing in dark semi-transparent blue PET-G. We supply this part with 3M VHB 0.25mm adhesive which is laser cut to match the back face, but it will be relatively easy to 'DIY' cut some tape to fill the same area. Print using the top facing down without supports. The design is wall optimized for standard nozzles of 0.4mm diameter.
