Easy 2-Piece Poker Chips & Holder, No Multi-Material Needed!
Description
These are some fun and easy to print 39mm poker chips that can be snapped together or glued and DO NOT require a multi-material printer. The number on each chip protrudes through a single side, so I recommend carefully deciding on a non-repeating color scheme prior to printing. My color scheme required 5 colors of filament for a distinct color combo on each value of chip. Each piece should be oriented on the build plate so the castellation is facing upwards. Try a single chip first- tolerances on this print snapping together are tight and you may need to use exclusive or inclusive geometry in your slicer for appropriate fitment. If you prefer to glue them, a tiny amount of cyanoacrylate around the numbers works great! Filament consumption is decent, with each chip weighing about 4 grams. The Chip Tray holds 78 completed chips, and can be stacked for multiple sets. I find a 75 count (plus Dealer, Big Blind, Small Blind for 78) set is plenty for a friendly game with my wife or a few friends. My set of 75 contained 15 of each 1, 5, 10 chips and 10 each of 20, 50, 100. I used some of my favorite Polymaker and Inland ABS spools, but PLA, PETG, etc. work very well! I even had success with TPU! A carbon fiber build plate was used to be a little extra and made for a great surface finish. .3mf and .STEP files included. I'm happy to entertain any requests for tray mods, additional values, and edge styles- just let me know what you might want to see in the comments!
