Multiclamp Arm for drum cymbals, toms, etc

Description

This is a remix of @Pargrassergiu's design; big shouts out to him for the original! The main benefit for this design is that it only uses parts accessible from a screw store, so there is very little effort required to make the clamp. Just acquire hardware, print, and assemble, without the need to modify any hardware. Compared to the original design, these are the key differences: - No hardware modifications need to be made, as we utilize a carriage bolt. - The design can handle tubes bigger than 28mm, and likely bigger than 35mm if you use the longer strap (have not yet tested) a tube this big) - The wing nut parts are modified to use a simple nut rather than a longer coupler. This lowers cost, since the coupler costs more than $1 and a wing nut costs $0.08 at my local hardware store. - Various screw holes were made slightly bigger to compensate for screws of varying diameter. - 5/16" hex screws were used (not M8). I'm fairly certain M8 hex heads would still fit (5/16" = 7.95mm), but there can be some variance in nut size etc. So if you're using M8 screws, you might need to change the wing nut size, but that's a fairly simple change, and the rest of the parts should still work fine. The total cost at my local hardware store for a full clamp is $2.90, with the following breakdown: - 4x $0.40: 5/16" by 2" carriage bolt - 2x $0.41: 5/16" by 1.5" A307 bolt - 6x $0.08: 5/16" Hex Full Nut I'll update the design as I use it more and iterate. Currently, 30% infill PETG has been fine, but it's important to not over-tighten the wing nuts (the strap piece will break if you do, even if you print that part separate at 100% infill, which adds a bit of strength and is worth doing). I have not experimented with using polycarbonate, but I might down the road if parts continue to break. Feel free to give any feedback! :)
