GF Trion Sear Support
Description
For anyone with this part out of spec here's a design that can be 3D printed. I've tested it in my Trion with all 3 spring power levels and it performs great. However there is no guarantee as to how long this will last or how it will wear or perform in the real world (heat/humidity/UV/heavy use/etc.). This print was done with PETG with some supports. The supports should crack off very cleanly. I didn't have to do any clean up on this part. I don't recommend using PLA for this part because of its tendency to creep at elevated temperatures. If you want to experiment and print this part out of nylon or a tougher material that might lead to a part that holds up better long term. However since there is a flexure in this part do be aware that any changes to the material used may require some tuning of the stiffness of the flexure. A symptom of a flexure that is too stiff is a trigger which does not reset. If the trigger does not reset you will see the blaster slam fire all the time, check your trigger if this is the case (pull it towards the front of the blaster and if it "clicks" it was not fully reset). You should be able to pull the trigger and always get two clicks, one when you pull and one when the trigger resets. If anyone makes a trigger of out of a fancier material let me know how it goes.
