PLAnted Tank

PLAnted Tank

Description

After searching for 3d printed fish tanks and finding nothing I set about making one. I have included a small test cube to dial in your settings to get the tank water tight. I went with a 0.6 nozzle and 4 walls but this caused some issues with raised infill so tweak before trying. Tree supports worked great for me in Cura. My glass was 96mm square low iron in 4mm but you can use whatever you like just rough up the surface a little with some sand paper before caulking with silicon of your choice. I just found the smallest usb light and hacked it apart but I suggest finding one with a timer built in that fits. The filter runs on a usb air pump and 6mm silicone tubing should slot right in but the lift pump is not optimized for supportless printing as this was a one off and I might mess with it more later. Might be a world first I am not sure but everything is a bit hacked together as I went so you might have to mess with scaling to fit as the clearance is about .1mm. It was all built with a 0.6 nozzle in mind so good luck and please post if you decide to print it. Even with the layer shift I was surprised it held water to be honest haha
