Mutant Goose Hydra (50mm baseplate, 47mm height)

Description

This is a take on a Goose Hydra - it was a fun to blend together from multiple models. I split out each head, foots and body then merged them together. At some point I might like to make a kit of a body and heads that can be attached / removed as needed. I have the wings I could borrow from the "Lore Accurate Canada Goose" model which I could loan to this one at some point too but I also want to make a more pure Goose Hydra at some point. The "goose" aspect of these is loose as it doesn't have wings. The most goose-like aspect are its necks and feet. I like to think, like most monstrosities, it's a mix of several creatures and magic. If you want to play with the lore for this one in particular this was a goose mix with troll and dragon blood. The heads have a bit of a graboid or charmelion look to them. I've added a little statblock for this creature where I borrowed a bit from Yasashii Kyojin Studio (https://dynamicprints.co.uk/our-range/creators/yasashii-kyojin-studio/3x-goose-hydra-yasashii-monster-dungeons-and-dragons-32mm-fantasy-d-d/#) and added my own lore based on the model's features. You'll notice there are a few standard Hydra traits but as it was made with flawed magic it has a weak spot (instead of the standard fire vulnerability) and it's pretty slow due to its extra feet. This creature could easily cause a TPK unless the party can figure out its weak spot or exploit its vulnerabilities. Due to its lack of speed it has a slimy acid spit attack that can reduce its attackers movement. Lastly despite its disfigured nature it's very smart and mindful of its surroundings - it knows how its heads regrow so it even bite itself in order to reach that 25 damage threshold and it will definitely guard its weak spot using its tail swipe to knock up to four characters away from it. It can't run so it will have to fight to the death or try to use its tail swipe to get distance from its attackers until it reaches more favourable terrain (or a crude pit trap of some kind). Unfortunately it cannot speak or understand common but a player with sufficient animal handling might be able to get through to it.
