Glove80 Weight Module
Description
### Add additional weight to your Glove80 Ergo Keyboard. #### Tired of you keyboard sliding around on your desk? Want a more solid feeling Glove80? This is for you. Filled with a combination of resin and lead, these modules increase the weight of the Glove80 by 400g for each side, going from 220g to 620g. The module add 4mm of spacing to each of the stand-offs that it is connected to - equivalent to two nuts on each foot. #### Benefits: - Heavy - Less janky than taping some pieces of metal to the bottom of your keyboard or taping it to the desk - Makes the keyboard feel more solid when typing - Keeps within the footprint of the original keyboard - Compatible with the wrist rests. #### Disadvantages: - Measurements aren't super accurate. It is hard to model this keyboard as there are lots of different angles. It would be very helpful if someone who has a 3d scanner could create a model to help make a more accurate model. - Uneven weight distribution. Almost all of the weight is under the thumb cluster. It would be a bit better if it was distributed under the whole keyboard, however my modelling and measuring skills are not up to that. #### How to print The model is solid however it can be sliced and the bottom layers removed. Then, the infill can be set to a grid shape to leave space to fill up with something heavy. I printed my infill at 15% although I would recommend 10% as it still prints well and it makes it a lot easier to fill the inside. I spent way to long cutting up pieces of lead to fit into the hundreds of holes. There are two versions of the model. The large version is the original version however I decided against using that in the end as it means that the wrist rests will no longer fit.
