PTFE Tube Guide for Ikea Lack
Description
This small hose grommet has been designed for all users of an Ikea Lack enclosure or stand in conjunction with a dryer (e.g. Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer, or others), or in conjunction witch an Creality CFS or equal. You also can use it on other table tops with a thickness of 50 mm. The PTFE Tube Guide for Ikea Lack ensures a clean finish. It has been designed for all PTFE tubes with an outer diameter of maximum 4 mm. Note: The PTFE Tube Guide is only a feed-through for the hose. It does not connect your PTFE tube to your printer filament sensor. For this you can additionally use my filament connectors which you find here: Simple PTFE tube connector for all 4 mm tubes PTFE tube connector for Creality K1 series, K1, K1C Purpose of use If you are using a Lack table, you usually have to place the dryer one top above or below and route the hoses past the side of the table. In my case my dryer is placed under the printer like you can see on the image. In addition to the fact that a longer hose is required for this, there is also increased friction in the hose which can lead to under extrusion. If you feed the hose through a drilled hole, an unsightly looking hole is usually created. The PTFE Tube Guide for Ikea Lack has been designed to give you a clean finish and that you can easily insert the tube through the hollow Lack tabletop. Advantages Easy and fast to print, no supports needed. Easy to install, parts friction fit and give you a clean look. You will need a drill and a 6 mm (or 1/4) and 8 mm (or 5/16) drill bit for the table top.
