P1S Side Spool Cover
Description
Side spool cover for external filament use and Filament protection. Added an AMS to my P1S, but the side spool holder is still an necesity if you want to use regular TPU. Bambu lab made a TPU to use with the ams but we all know that it is not soft like for example TPU 95a. I have made a cover to enable printing from the side holder, still have the filament enclosed to protect it from moisture, and added a location inside to insert some desiccant to keep it dry while it prints. You still need to screw in a bowden coupler to the printed location on top to hold the ptfe tube. uses a PC4-M10? I printed with a little tree support on the external part to ensure it printed well. To print the files, I just used the .2 setting for the .4 nozzle, and used PETG. The clear part of the item you see in the pictures was my attempt to make it clear to keep an eye on the spool but it did not come out clear at all, your settings may provide better results if you wish to try. I may just cut a window and glue a piece of clear plastic from a soda bottle or try to change the print somehow to enable it in the print itself, we’ll see. Good luck with the print, hope it proves useful. Thanks go to asm2750 for his PolyDryer_Bowden_Coupler model, I couldn't figure out how to do it myself.
