Stackable Light Tower

Stackable Light Tower

Description

Stackable Light Tower. This Is A Simple Design For A Light Tower. The Lenses For This Light Tower Are Stack-Able So You Can Use One Layer And A Three Color Led Or Two Layers With Separate Led'S Or Three Layers With Three Different Led'S. I'M Prototyping A Radiation Monitoring System Using A Sparkfun Geiger Counter, An Arduino Uno, A Solenoid To Lock A Swing Gate And A Light Tower To Signal "Safe To Pass" Or "Hold While Your Shoes Melt". I May Use A Microview For Text Output Or An Lcd For Messaging For Mr/Min Etc... You Can Put A Piece Of Aluminum Foil On The Upper And Lower Surface Of The Separators For A Reflelective Surface. Instructions On How I Made The Lens Part Are Given In The Image Sequence Above. You Can Use Clear Abs From Octave, For The Lenses But I Printed The Lenses On A Form1+ Using Clear Resin V2 And The Other Parts On An Up!3D. The Electronics Are Up To You But Ultra-Bright Leds Work Geat And Are Controlled From The Arduino Uno With A Common Ground And Digital Outputs To Control The Leds. If You Want You Can Print Out A Lens, Cut It In Half And Create A Mold To Cast Lenses Using Water Clear Resin And Translucent Red Or Green Dye From Polytek: Http://Www.Polytek.Com/Products/Liquid-Castingmold-Shell-Plastics-Foams/Polyurethane-Liquid-Casting-Plastics/Pourablebrushable-Polyurethane-Plastics/Poly-Optic-14-Series/ Have Fun ---- Parameters --------- Platform: Up!3D And Form1+ Resolution: 200 U, Draft, 70% Fill Material: Abs And/Or Clear Photo-Polymerization Resin Cad:Truespace 7.61 Art-To-Part Time: 40 Minutes Design Notes: Design Seems Acceptable.
