Stellated Icosahedron
Description
I Just Bought A Ten-Pack Of Pla, So I Could Finally Print This Design. To Make This Stellation Of The Icosahedron You Need 60 Of These Pieces. I Printed Them In 10 Groups Of Six, Each Group A Different Color. Because This Is A Stellation Of The Icosahedron, The Faces Fall On Twenty Planes. Each Plane Contains 3 Of The Faces. Ideally It Would Be Cool To Print 20 Different Colors, But Each Plane Has A Parallel Plane That Will Never Be Seen At The Same Time. So We Can Get Away With Just 10 Colors. The Five Pieces That Make Each Point Snap Together With A Bit Of Coaxing. Then The 12 Points Snap Together At Their Bases. This Is Easier Said That Done. I Had To Resort To Using Glue So That It Would Not Fall Apart As I Was Trying To Get The Last Pieces In. It Would Have Been Much Easier If I Had 12 Hands. Alas - I Do Not.
