Modified Jhead Compact Extruder for I3 Rework
Description
I Love The Jhead Compact Extruder For I3 Rework By Mak-A-Face, But I Had A Few Issues With It. The Hobb On My Extruder Bolt Was Too Deep To Work With The Default Configuration. I Took The 1.75Mm Version And Modified It To Support 3Mm. I Also Adjusted The Mounting Location To Be 2Mm Lower Because It Cracked At This Point From A Thin Wall. The Original Blower Should Work. All Of The Original Files Will Work. The Cutout Around The Motor Has Been Widened Slightly Because The Screw On My Gear Was Sticking Out Too Much. Uses The 1.75 Guide From The Original Thing By Mak-A-Face Edit 10/27/15: I Updated The Files. I Had The Wrong One Uploaded, Which Was An Additional 3Mm In Height. New Files Are An Extra 2Mm As They Should Be. I Adjusted The Mount For The Shroud So That All Original Parts Should Work. Still Need To Use The 1.75Mm Guide. I Modified My Version Of The Fan Shroud To Fit This New Version. Edit 10/28/15: I Modified The Fan Shroud To Include A Relief For Screws. I Also Modified The Extruder To Have Better Support On The Hinge. Edit 11/3/2015: I Further Modified The Fan Shroud To Cool A Longer Portion Of The J-Head. My Jhead Is ~65Mm In Length. The Peek Portion Is 50Mm In Length.
