precision paste extruder based on screw frosting device

Description

This Is An Amazing Paste Extruder Based On One I'Ve Been Working With With A Hyrel 3D Printer. It Uses A Geared Down Stepper Motor And A Paste (Frosting/Clay) Extruder You Can Find Many Places. There Is A Patent On The Frosting Extruder Part, Actuated By A Screw/Plunger (Uspto# 7413429 B1, 7416400 B1, And 7476097 B1) But As Far As I Know This Just Means You Can Make/Sell This Part. There Are Many Sources That I'Ve Seen (Amazon, Walmart.Com) For This Part Of The Extruder, But As Far As I Know, The Official Source Can Be Found Here (Makinsclay.Com). The Idea Is The Stepper Motor Rotates Its Axle, But The Body Is Rotationally Constrained By A Linear Rail. The Rail Allows It To Move Up And Down With Minimal Friction As The Rotation Of The Screw Slowly Actuates The Plunger. The Printed Parts Are The Motor Bracket (That Can Be Adjusted For Various Stepper, And I'Ll Likely Swap It For A 50:1 Planetary Geared Nema11Or Nema 14 In The Future. The Other Printed Part Is The Syringe Holder And Part That Bolts To The X Carriage (Intended For A Prusa I3 With 20 Mm Wide Holes For M3 Bolts). Let Me Know And I Can Make Alternate Sizes/Mountings. The Other Necessary Parts Are A 19.19:1 Geared Stepper From Stepperonline.Com (Calibration Of Steps/Mm Is 200 X 16 X 19.19 / 1.411111111 (Threads Per Inch For 5/16-18 Screw Thread) = 43517.48. This Is With A 17Mm Id "Syringe" (Of Sorts). You May Find It Beneficial To Make The Calibration 435.1748 And Use A Filament Diameter Of 1.7. Since The Volume Is Proportional To The Radius^2, Reducing The Radius By 10 And Extruder Calibration By 10^2 Will Cancel Out. This Will Make Speeds More Comparable To Traditional 1.75Mm Filament. And A Linear Rail. More Info Later. These Are Expensive, But Necessary. That'S The Nitty Gritty, I'Ll Be Posting Revisions As I Get Them, And I Have A Uv Curing Add-On And Heater Setup That You Can Find Details On Here: Http://Onlinelibrary.Wiley.Com/Doi/10.1002/Marc.201600236/Abstract. I'M Making A Guide To Building A Bioprinter, So I'Ll Have Better Documentation Once I Get That Together.
