Blower Mount for Bowden Feed Hexagon Hotend V1.0
Description
A Mount I Made To Attach A Hexagon Hot End (Http://Www.Amazon.Com/Gp/Product/B00W8Fl5Bs?Psc=1&Redirect=True&Ref_=Oh_Aui_Detailpage_O09_S00) To A He3D (Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:919038) X-Carriage. I'Ve Later Found Out That The He3D X-Carriage Is Derived From The Prusa I3 Rework. Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:119616. He3D Seems To Have Made Changes To Go To Just 2 Holes .91" Apart From Each Other In The Middle. I Have Recently Remixed A Well Designed Modern Version To Be Compatible With That Hole Spacing (Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1133926). This Is The 2Nd Attempt A This This Design. The First Version (V.0.0)Used 2X 40Mm Axial Fans. I Couldn'T Feel The Air Flow Very Well From Them. I Ordered These Blowers From Digikey At The Same Time I Ordered The Fans In Case I Was Unsatisfied With The Airflow, Which I Was. Hooking Up The 24 V Blowers The Difference In Airflow Is Night And Day. You Can Feel It Blowing Well Behind The Hexagon Heat Sink. Cost Wise It Works Out To Be About The Same. These Blowers Keep The Cold End Cold. They Do Have Noise But Behind A Door It'S Quiet. Here Is A Link To The 24V Blowers I Used. Dikey Part#: 603-1116-Nd . I Appreciate Joseph Rafferty Posting That. I Was Having Jams With The Axial Fan Version Of This And It Went Away With The Blowers. Enjoy.
