Wanhao Duplicator 4 Fan Duct

Wanhao Duplicator 4 Fan Duct

Description

I Never Use My Right Extruder, So To Extend The Life Of My Gantry Motors, I Removed It (Along With The Motor) And Replaced The Whole Motor-Extruder Assembly With These Two Parts. The Fan Duct Can Be Installed From The Top (Recycle The Right Motor'S Fan And Connect Its Leads To That Of The Left Motor'S Fans) And Both Pillar And Duct Can Be Secured By Two Screws (I Used A Pair Of 60Mm M3 Hex Screws With Nuts And Lock-Washers). The Nozzle Points A Solid Beam Of Air Straight At The Left Extruder'S Tip. The Result Is Filament That Never Goo'S Up On You Due To Slow Hardening While Printing. The Image Above Is From My Monitoring Camera And You Can See That The Base Layer That It Is Putting Down Is Satiny And Glassy (As Opposed To Grainy And Stringy). You Will Need To Install The Pillar Piece As It Not Only Tidies The Cables, But Also Serves The Purpose Of Engaging The Right Home Sensor. I Deliberately Made It Point Off To The Side So That The Electrical Cables Never Touch The Filament (Which Is Fed From The Top On Mine Through A 2Mm Hole In The Top Cover). Also, I Do Not Use A Filament Sleeve/Tube. I Honestly See No Point - It Makes Swapping Filaments Easy If They'Re Just Exposed. Give It A Try!
