I Wanted A Lower Profile That Was Sturdier And Could Make Use Of Readily Available Threaded Stem Glides. I Purchased Them From Home Depot For $4 ( Threaded Stem Glides Sku 141 178 ). The Design Is Simple. That Is How I Like To Make Things. Just K.I.S.S. ( Keep It Simple Stupid ). Align The Insert With The Grooves Before You Install The Insert. The Insert Press Fits Into The Hole.You May Have To Use A Vise, Bar Clamp, Or Arbor Press. If You Tap It In, Make Sure It Is Flat Against A Strong Surface To Prevent Cracking The Part. I Used An Irwin Quick-Grip That I Purchased At Walmart.
