40 mm hotend fan duct and bracket
Description
I Needed A Fan For My Hotend And Had Left The Matter For Too Long. I Had Started To Get Really Bad Prints Due To Heat Creeping Up The Hotend And Clogging The Filament Feed. This Is A Quick And Dirty 40 Mm Fan Duct With Bracket For My Prusa. The Bracket Only Has (3Mm) Screw Holes On One Edge Since My X-Carriage Doesn'T Have Any Mounting Brackets. This Will Have To Be Glued In Place. Since I Really Was Suffering With My Prints, This Part Came Out Badly And Required Fixing. This Is Due To The Filament Not Feeding Properly Because It Jams In The Hot Hotend. I'Ll Post Pictures Later Though. Upcoming: Nozzle Extension From Duct To The Hotend To Direct The Full Airflow To The Hotend. Adapter For 60 Mm (Or Whatever I Have At Home) Fan. This Exist Now: Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:192742 I Consider (In Hindsight Admittedly) The Hotend Fan To Be A Part Of A 3D Printer Since Without It The Heat Will Creep And Filament Will Clog So This Is Filed Under 3D Printer Parts Pics Uploaded. As You Can See, I Had Issues With The Print Quality And Fixed With Masking Tape. The Bracket Has An Indentation For A Nut On The Outside But Since The Screws I Used Were Too Long (25Mm) They Would Interfere With The Assembly Onto The X-Carriage. This Is Why I Have The Bolt Head On The Side Of The Bracket In The Two Last Pictures.
