These Models Are Protective Cases For The Modern Robotics Controllers And Zte Speed Smartphone Used In The First Tech Challenge. Made By Team 4029, 2 Bits And A Byte, These Cases Reinforce The Powerpole And Miniusb Connectors To Ensure That Wires Do Not Lose Connection During The Robot Game. The Zte Case Uses A Tetrix Max Hub Pattern. During Our First Competition, We Had Some Serious Connection Issues: Over The Five Matches We Played, The Robot Moved For About A Minute Total! While We Didn'T Run Into These Problems Practicing And Driving During Team Meetings, The Environment On The Playing Field Was Significantly More Hectic. By Designing And Installing These Cases, We Have Drastically Improved Our Reliability; The Robot Has Not Disconnected During Testing Or In Competition Since They Were Attached.
