Intel Edison / Grove Modular "Black Box" Case
Description
This Is A Case For The Intel Edison / Grove / Arduino Breakout Board. It Is Intended To Be Used As A Black Box For Projects. As Such It Is Modular In Design So That Different Modules Can Be Designed And Printed To Hold Different Components Without Having To Reprint The Entire Case And Lid. I Have Included A Module For The [2 Line Lcd Component](Http://Www.Seeedstudio.Com/Wiki/Grove_-_Lcd_Rgb_Backlight). I Have Also Included A Blank Module That Can Be Downloaded And Customized. I Have Created A Remixed [Lcd, Rotary Encoder & 2 Button Module](Http://Www.Thingiverse.Com/Thing:1426295) Includes The Lcd With A Rotary Encoder Below It, Flanked By 2 Buttons. This Would Provide The Basis For Menu Navigation Or Rudimentary Input For Various Projects. Case V1 Is The Version Pictured. In That Version The Analog Pins Are Too Close To The Wall And Are Inaccessible Without Removing The Breakout Board. Case V2 Strives To Fix That By Moving The Hole Pattern Away From The Wall. However, This Results In The Ports Being Quite Recessed From Their Holes. A V3 May Be Forthcoming Where A Hole Is Cut In The Side To Access The Analog Pins. Feel Free To Remix This For That Purpose. The Screw Holes In The Lid Are Sized Tightly To Fit M3 Screws. 16Mm Or Shorter Screws Work Well.
