Experimental First Designs Of A New Carriage For The Dreammaker Overlord 3D Printer To Use Lm8Uu Type Bearings (8 Mm Linear Ball Bearings). This Is _Very_ Much A Design In Progress And A Lot Of More Work Is To Be Done. If You Guys Want To Print Some Experimental Parts, Take Your Dear Overlord Apart, And Have Lm8Uu Bearings Laying Around, And Really Want Yourself Frustrated, Free Free To Give It A Try In Its Current Form. (Advice That You Wait Until I Get The Real Bearings So That It'S Better Tested Before You Give It A Try) You Will Need To Make The M3 Threads In The Carriage, As Well As Remove The Built In Support Material. Make Sure You _Turn Off_ Support In Your Slicer! The Reason Of Wanting To Use Lm8Uu Linear Ball Bearings Is To Try And Decrease The Noise The Original Bronze Bushings Create When Sliding Along The 8 Mm Shafts; The Shafts Are Grind Incorrectly (Perpendicular To Motion And Not Parallel Like They Should Be). The Original Bearings Also Had To Be Lubricated Constantly Or They'D Get Very Very Loud During Motion. The Design Will Change To A 3 Bearing Design And Have A Built In Belt Tension System.
